3D Blocks
Start a new document; I used 500 X 500 (you can make it any size), then go to Filter -> Render -> Clouds.
Now go to Filter -> Pixelate -> Mezzotint and use the following settings.
Then go to Filter -> Blur -> Radial Blur and apply these settings.
Then, go to Filter -> Stylize -> Extrude and use these settings.
Now, go to Hue/Saturation by pressing CTRL + U and mess around with the colors until you find what you like.
My Final Image:
Borders
First, make you a background you would like to use. Then, once your background is complete, press CTRL and A at the same time. Make sure you have the Rectangular Marquee Tool selected if it doesn't select it for you.. Now right click anywhere on your background and goto Stroke.
Then this should come up:
Now, heres how I like to do my borders, but you can mess around with it if you don't like my way.
For the first time, put 3 px in the box and chose the color you want for your border. Then click OK.
It should now look like this:
Now, press CTRL and A again, and goto Stroke, except this time put 2 px in the box and choose a different color. Then click OK.
It should now look like this:
Now, once again, press CTRL and A and goto Stroke. This time put 1 px in the box and select the first color you choose. Then click OK.
It should now look like this:
Now, to get rid of that color in the middle. Choose the Magic Wand Tool and click on the color in the middle and press Delete on your keyboard.
The final look is like this:
Faded Renders
First, choose your render, and create your background and combine them so you have something like this:
Then, put your render on there again so you get this:
Now, look down at your layers, and right click the layer of the 2nd render and goto Blending Options.
When in the Blending Options, find the Opacity and move it to where you like it. Then you have a faded render in the background.
Afterwards add any text you want and your done. And here is the final look:
Liquid Metal
Open a new document the size of your choice with the background color as Black. Go to Filter > Render > Lens Flare and use the following settings:
Then do that once more making your image look like this:
Now go to Filter > Artistic > Plastic Wrap and use the following settings:
Your image should now look like this:
Now, go to Filter > Distort > ZigZag and use the following settings:
You should now have this:
Now you have to duplicate the layer ( press CTRL+J ) Then you have to change the blending mode to Linear Light.
Your final result should look like this:
Rain Effect
As for the rain effect, you will need the following things:
UnFreezeRain BrushOK, Let's start off by making the signature you want the rain effect for or course. I am using this one:
This one is fairly simple. First select the Brush Tool, and select one of the Rain Brushes that you downloaded. Select the color you want the rain to be and click somewhere to place the rain. Make sure the Brush is sized right. Like in this picture:
After you click, you should get something like this:
Now goto File>>Save For Web & Devices
Then make sure on the save screen, your Options look like this:
Now go back to your photoshop, and delete the Rain making you picture look like this again:
Now, choose the Rain Brush again and place the rain in a different position.
It should now look like this:
Again save it the same way as last time.
Now, you will need to open UnFreeze, that you downloaded earlier. It should open a window that looks like this:
Now, open the folder of were you saved you 2 Rain Effect Signatures and drag them into the box in UnFreeze, and change the Frame Delay to about 5, and make sure Loop Animation is checked like this:
Then click Make Animated GIF, and save it to where ever you like. Now you should end up with something like this:
Rounded Edges - Method 1
This method gives you more of a faded out edge. First, open up the signature that you want to round the edges on.
Now, select the Rectangular Marquee Tool and set the options like this:
Now, select the area you want rounded.
Now, invert the selection (Shift+Ctrl+I) and press Delete on your keyboard. If you get a message coming up that you have to resterize the image first, goto Select > Deselect. Then goto Image > Duplicate. Now you should be able to delete it properly.
You should now have a rounded edge like this:
Rounded Edges - Method 2
I find this the easiest way to do Rounded Edges. First, of course make, or open the image you are making rounded edges on. I will be using this one:
Now select the Rounded Rectangle Tool, and select the area you are rounding.
Now right click inside the selected area and click Make Selection and use these settings:
And click ok. Now, press shift, ctrl, and I all at once, and pres Delete on your keyboard. You should now have something like this:
Last thing to tell you is that wehn you save it, these are the settings you can put:
